From the recording Stew Love
This is a song I wrote for my fellow Clipper Crewmates that I worked with on board the Yorktown Clipper Cruise Line. It’s about the romantic escapades that take place on board ships with deckhands, stewards (Stews), engineers and other crew members. I’m not saying I participated. I was just an objective observer ;-)

Lyrics
We left Costa Rica
Set Sail for Mexico
That’s when I met her, a senorita
Never been to sea before
We hooked up at a crossing party
Then we made our way below
We were tipsy and feeling frisky
So we both just went with the flow
Stew Love
It ain’t true love
But it’s good enough
When you need some
Stew Love
Well we had some fun in the Mexican sun
We got wild in the surf and the sand
But the nights were even wilder
I hoped that it would never end
I thought that we were doing great
I had nothing to fear
But then one night to my surprise
She hooked up with an engineer
Stew Love
It ain’t true love
But it’s good enough
When you need some
Stew Love
Well you might think I should be mad
Well I admit, I’m a little bit sad,
But I know what I gotta do
Is find another stew
Stew Love
It ain’t true love
But it’s good enough
When you need some
Stew Love
Stew Love
It ain’t true love
But it’s good enough
When you need some
